New Plant Comes Online January 1st, 2008
It is with great pleasure that we announce the opening of our new Yakima manufacturing plant. We have been steadily growing in the area since 1983. With the move from Moxee to Washington Avenue, we continued to grow, but with the purchase of Yakima Precast in July of 2006, our need for a new facility was pushed to the forefront.
This new facility, combined with the talent acquired from Yakima Precast, will give us the tools to become one of the premier precast companies anywhere in the country. It will serve the Lower Valley builders, contractors, municipal agencies, developers, engineers and our funeral service customers with never before seen capabilities of specialty mixes and precise forming from a highly efficient operation.
In addition to silos holding up to three cement types and six different aggregate bins, we will begin to produce self-consolidating concrete (SCC) which uses a high range water reducer to achieve high strengths of 8,000 psi. SCC leaves a smooth, bug-hole-free surface, which is highly impervious to water penetration. This will improve the overall quality of all our products including septic tanks, manholes, burial vaults, catch basins and Redi-Rock.
We welcome you to stop by our new offices on 38th, just North of Ahtanum, any time after the first of the year. It will be our pleasure to serve you and the entire Yakima Valley for many years to come.
Sincerely,
Dan T. Houk President & CEO |
