Anomaly Cove” is a standout Redi-Rock project that showcases both the creativity and craftsmanship of Brett and Robert, who dedicated three summers to bringing this vision to life. With its dramatic elevation changes and intricate layout, this property required a thoughtful blend of wall systems—and the result is nothing short of spectacular.

Project Intent
What began as a naturally sloped property has been transformed into a stunning, livable retreat. By utilizing a variety of Redi-Rock solutions, the team turned elevation challenges into visual and functional features, creating what the client now calls a “Beautiful slice of heaven.”

Project Stats

Anomaly Cove is a powerful example of what’s possible when smart engineering meets design excellence—creating a space that’s as functional as it is breathtaking.

This project involved the removal and replacement of a failing ecology block wall that was no longer able to support a very steep hillside. The existing structure was compromised and posed a risk to the surrounding area, prompting the need for a more reliable, long-term solution.

A new gravity retaining wall system was installed, engineered to provide enhanced slope stability and long-lasting performance. The wall features a Cobblestone block face, offering the durability of precast concrete with the look of natural stone—perfect for projects where both function and aesthetics matter.

Project Highlights:

This solution provides the structural integrity needed for steep grade changes while enhancing the visual appeal of the site. It’s an ideal upgrade for areas where old ecology blocks no longer meet safety or design standards.

To solve a persistent slope instability issue and prevent falling rocks from damaging the driveway, a gravity retaining wall was constructed using Redi-Rock® Ledgestone blocks. This solution provides both structural reinforcement and a natural stone appearance, making it ideal for steep terrain near homes or driveways.

The wall ranges in height from 3 to 15 feet and was built using 659 individual precast blocks, covering a total surface area of 3,789 square feet. The Ledgestone block face helps the structure blend seamlessly into the surrounding landscape, delivering both safety and curb appeal.

Project Highlights:

This type of wall is ideal for hillside properties, driveway protection, and erosion control—especially in areas where reinforcing the slope is critical but aesthetics also matter.

This project involved replacing a failing hand-stacked retaining wall with a more durable and structurally sound precast gravity wall system. The new wall features a Cobblestone block face, offering both improved stability and a visually appealing finish that blends naturally with the surrounding landscape.

The gravity wall was constructed using 55 engineered precast blocks, covering a total area of 308 square feet. This modern system provides long-term structural support while minimizing future maintenance needs — a significant upgrade from the original hand-stacked solution.

Project Highlights:

This Redi-Rock project in Colfax, Washington showcases how smart design can solve practical problems while enhancing outdoor spaces. The homeowner needed a solution to divert spring runoff and snow melt that previously caused basement flooding. The answer: a freestanding Ledgestone wall system that combines function and form.

Designed as a water diversion barrier, the wall effectively redirects seasonal runoff away from the home. Beyond its utility, the wall also serves a dual purpose—functioning as a comfortable backyard bench, perfect for enjoying the outdoor space.

This project is a great example of how Redi-Rock can be used to blend stormwater control with livable landscape design, delivering both protection and enjoyment to the homeowner.

Project Overview
The primary goal of this project was to enhance the space’s usability and aesthetic appeal. To achieve this, we utilized Redi-Rock’s Ledgestone block face, chosen for its natural stone look that blends seamlessly with the environment.

This project features a combination of Gravity Retaining Walls and Freestanding Blocks with Caps, which also serve as a stylish and practical barrier/seat wall. The wall heights vary between 4.5 and 6 feet, allowing for an adaptive layout that complements the landscape’s contours.

Materials Used
A total of 147 Redi-Rock blocks were used in the construction, including:

Altogether, the installation covers approximately 710 square feet of wall face, offering a robust and visually appealing solution that enhances the value and experience of the outdoor space.

This project is a great example of how Redi-Rock solutions can elevate both form and function in residential landscaping.

Overlooking Lake Roosevelt, this wall measuring 10.5 feet in height was constructed to accommodate a pool. The structure reaches a height of 10.5 feet at its highest point and gradually ascends to a wall of 3 feet, following the natural contours of the ground.

Product Description: Gravity Wall System

Block Count:  137 Retaining Blocks

Total Weight: 240,443 lbs.

Concrete has been poured to create a durable finish surface. The top block serves as a curb, allowing materials to be placed up to five inches from the wall’s face. Additionally, pool drains have been installed and integrated into the wall drain system to efficiently discharge water away from the wall. To enhance safety, a railing system has been securely anchored to the concrete surface along the wall’s face.

This project created a safe pathway to access the walkway to cross the Sullivan Bridge. The total length measured just over 295 feet long with a steady incline from 0 to 15 foot high retaining wall.

Blocks used:

Total Weight: 1,138,329 LBS

This beautifully crafted residential retaining wall showcases the versatility and strength of the Redi-Rock® Ledgestone system. Designed with both form and function in mind, the wall combines three different Redi-Rock® block types: Gravity, Planter, and Freestanding — each serving a distinct purpose in the structure.

The Gravity blocks allow the wall to reach heights of up to 12 feet tall without the need for additional reinforcement, making them ideal for challenging grade changes in residential settings. Integrated Planter blocks add a built-in space for greenery, enhancing curb appeal and blending the structure into the landscape.

Key Features:

A standout design element is the use of Freestanding blocks along the top and ends of the wall. This ensures the wall looks just as attractive from the back as it does from the front—perfect for yards, patios, or outdoor living spaces where both sides of the wall are visible.

By utilizing the full range of Redi-Rock® Ledgestone products, this wall not only provides structural support but also creates a beautiful and functional outdoor feature for the homeowner.
